Municipality Directly under the Central Government

The municipalities in China inclulde such four cities as Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing and Shanghai. A municipality can just be compared to a province but with more authorities. For example, a municipality has got its own electoral mechanism, thus its leaders could be voted direcitly by their people.

Among the four cities, Shanghai is the economic and financial center of China. Associated with a super advanced transportation system, the city has greatly developed in these years. Besides, it is also the most dynamic and futuristic city in China even the world. Every year, countless people from home and abroad come to Shanghai to travel for travel, for business etc.

While, Beijing is, of course, the political and administrative center of the country. Except for its time-honored history, Beijing is really a great scenic spot dotted with plenty of breathtaking sceneries namely Tian'anmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City etc. What a fantastic city!

Tianjin is just a neighbor of Beijing, also undergoing a very fast developing pace.

Chongqing is a vtal core of China, meanwhile a renowned historic city as well. The incredible Yangtze River Sightseeing is a great symbol of this municipality.
