Our service begins when our guide and chauffeur pick you up at the airport in Shanghai. Later, you will be transferred to Suzhou and check in the local hotel. Have a good rest.

In the morning, the guide will take you to Zhouzhuang, one of the most famous water towns in China. There, you may spend the whole day in experiencing culture and customs of the local life, and finding out why this little water town can get such a big fame. Later in the afternoon, the guide will escort you back to your hotel in Suzhou.

Today’s itinerary includes the classical gardens in Suzhou- the Tiger Hill and the Lion Grove Garden, both considered to be great collections of beautiful rockeries, as well as the Hanshan Temple and No. 1 Silk Factory. After that, drive to Shanghai and check in the local hotel where we wish you a good rest.

Hanshan Temple: It was originally built during the reign of Tianjian in the Liang Dynasty. The poem of “ Mooring to the Maple Bridge at Night ” by Zhang Ji of the Tang Dynasty is so oft-quoted and widely loved that the poetic rhyme and the bell-tolling sounds have made the Hanshan Temple famous at home and abroad.
Tiger Hill: Known also as Surging Sea Hill, Tiger Hill is a large hillock covering some14100 square meters (over three acres) and is 36 meters (118 feet) in height. Climbing the hill, you will find a number of historical sites some of which can be traced back over 2500 years to the founding of Suzhou
Lion Grove Garden: Compactly yet harmoniously spaced, the Lion Grove Garden has a prominent part for series of man-made mountains with various buildings around the lake ,and an artificial waterfall and cliffs at the edge of the lake on the west. Remains of the 14th century man-made mountains, covering 1,152 sq.m. and being the largest of all at Suzhou,can be still seen today.
No.1 Silk Factory: With a history of more than 80 years, Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory enjoys a good reputation in silk industry for its complete technical process of silk swarm raising, cocoon sorting, cocoon boiling and cocoon reeling, rewinding and packing. The high-grade silk produced in this factory is the best raw material for the product of high-quality silk fabrics.

During this day, you are supposed to be a witness of both old and new Shanghai. City God Temple and Jade Buddha Temple will show you the tradition of old Shanghai, and the Bund, Nanjing Road, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Xin Tian Di Entertainment Complex will disclose the new look of this modern city.

City God Temple: The City God Temple of Shanghai is a temple in the old city of Shanghai, China, and is today the central feature of a large retail and entertainment district. It originated as the Jinshan God Temple, dedicated to the spirit of Jinshan, or "Gold Mountain", an island off the coast of Shanghai. It was converted into a City God Temple in 1403, during the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty.
Xin Tian Di Entertainment Complex: It is a state-of-the-art warren of upscale shops, bars and restaurants based on the theme of "where old meets new". Here you find the oddly complimentary combination of the traditional houses of old Shanghai (the 'Shikumen') hosting ultra modern restaurants, bars and shops. The exterior of these shikumen style houses of 1920's Shanghai have been tastefully restored, whilst inside they have been fully renovated to accommodate the tastes of the modern Westerner.
Nanjing Road: Shanghai's main shopping street, enjoying the fame as "the No.1 commercial street of China", also it is one of the most prosperous streets in Asia.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with a height of 468 meters high, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia (up to the last floor to see Shanghai scenery).It is a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century.
The Bund: Also called the Zhongshan Road, it is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years, winding a 1500 meters (less than one mile) length. Walking along the Bund, which is at the west shore of the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower can be seen on the opposite side and also the Jin Mao Tower.Being one of the Top Ten Shanghai Attractions, the Bund is a really beautiful and special place which is worth visiting. On the western side of Zhongyi Dongyi Road stand 52 buildings, showing various Chinese and foreign architectural styles, hence the name of  “World Architecture Exposition in Modern Times”
Jade Buddha Temple: It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to S hanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 metres tall, 3 tonnes), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing Buddha's death. The temple now also contains a much larger reclining Jade Buddha, donated from Singapore, and visitors may mistake this larger sculpture for the original, smaller piece.

Today in the morning, a guide will pick you up in the hotel and drive you to the Expo Site. Then you are free on your own to enter the Expo Site and make a sightseeing plan.
In the afternoon, meet the guide at the exit of the Expo Site and you will be taken back to the hotel. Rest up there or have fun in exploring the nightlife of Shanghai.

After breakfast in hotel, you are free for your rest time in Shanghai. Our service finishes after sending you to the airport and the see-off. See you and wish you a pleasant journey!
